Hello. My name is Tom Austin, and I’ll be the author of everything you see on Abitsa – unless there is a guest blogger. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with my bride of 36 years. Abitsa is a place where I intend to put pieces I write. You’ll find two serialized stories I wrote one called The Second Realm and another called Summon From A Far. They may not be what Hemingway or J.D. Salinger would write but they’re mine. You’ll also find the occasional film review as well as book reviews.
A number of my essays appear in the book series “History In Dispute”. They dealt with the Soviet space program and can be found on pages 68 to 71. The full title is History In Dispute Volume 2 – American Social and Political Movements, 1945-2000: Pursuit Of Liberty. It was published in 2000. It’s published by St. James Press.

Well, so far this blog has taken on a life of its own. I’m not putting up movie reviews as I originally planned. It looks like I’m putting up pretty well anything and everything.
